Sleeping demon blinker
The Project
An interesting circuit built around CMos IC 4011 is discussed here. This circuit is very famous at the most of the school/college exhibitions and as such it is a very favourite circuit among students, hobbyists and novice.
In the common usage this circuit is used to scare visitors to the exhibition who happens to touch the face or head of a animal like dog or a demon doll. The red LED placed on the forehead of a fierce-full dog blinks vigorously as if it gets angry when touched its fore head. Especially the children and small kids gets fascinated to see this scene.
Circuit description
Easy to build using single IC 4011
When the sensors A & B are jointly touched the LEDs begin to blink
Used it as blinker
Angry man or angry dog or sleeping demon can be taken as examples
Two red LEDs will be fixed as eyes of a dog. Sensor is placed on its head. When head is touched the dog begins to blink. So also man/demon etc.
very few components are used.
Parts list:
U1 – IC 4011
R1 – 5M ohms – Resistor
R2 – 3.3K ohms – Resistor
C1 – 3.3 MFD/16V capacitor
LED1, LED2 – Light Emitting Diodes
This ready made PCB can be easily fabricated abd the circuit assembled on it. This circuit is presented here on the demands of many electronics enthusiasts and students.
