Based on the assembling plan discussed earlier it is easier to transform the circuit design onto the breadboard and assembled it. Insert the components in the appropriate holes in the breadboard and connect the battery. Assembled breadboard looks like the picture given below.
Assembled project
Just plug in the component leads properly as shown in the picture. Row1 is connected to the +ve terminal of the battery. Row2 is connected to a -ve terminal of the battery. As all the components are snugly seated in the holes of the board, electrical connections are said to be made. As soon as the battery is connected the 2LED s start glowing. Correct assembling results in instant start glowing of LEDs when battery terminals are connected.
Except for the battery, all other components are plugged into the breadboard and accommodated. It is important to use single-stranded hookup wire for jumper connections. Please do not use multistrand silk wires as it becomes brittle, the chances of small cut bits stuck up in the holes and it may give a lot of problems in due course. Hence normally 18SWG single-stranded wire as thick as a quarter watt resistor lead wire is suitable and appropriate.
Make sure that the terminal leads of the components are gently bent to facilitate insertion in the holes. Further, the terminals must be thoroughly cleaned with emery or salt paper before use. This ensures sure connectivity for the best electrical contacts. Jumper wires should have plastic sleeves to avoid short-circuiting with other open wires or connectors.
To sum up
Having discussed all the vital points in assembling it may not be difficult for a novice for assembling on the breadboard. One can find breadboard details in my other blogs which are exclusively presented on the product. Please give your comments and suggestions for improvement of the details and guides.
